The Role – Small Business and Individual Sales Manager

  • Manage the Small Business Unit (SBU) Sales and Service & Individual Sales
  • Responsible for ensuring that the sales team meets new sales targets across the small business segment (2-99) and broker generated individual sales through a variety of sales channels, including new market Other key accountabilities include management and oversight of client services to achieve desired retention levels,   sales and service strategy, and planning, pipeline management, relationship building, and maintenance
  • This position will directly supervise staff to meet market needs in delivering external and internal customers the highest level of customer Small Business and Individual Sales Manager will also lead the single-entry point within the company for Groups, Brokers, and General Agents for support
  • This position will serve as a key resource to their work team by providing support and problem resolution
  • Work side by side with the Director of Sales and Provider Relations on small group and broker projects strategy development, implementation, and deployment

  • Functional knowledge of moderately complex individual benefits and plans, definitions, and insurance industry regulations
  • Solid knowledge of federal and state laws governing benefit plans
  • Solid problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are required
